Contests taking place before the Mega Event
Take a picture/video of yourself as a Vindaloovian
Ends on April 2nd, voting available on Facebook from April 10th till May 7th

Have you got a good sense of humour? Take a picture or video of yourself as a Vindaloovian. Entries can be submitted until April 2nd, 2023.
Trackable challenge
Available until May 12th

Would you like to win a trackable code or a geocoin? Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page to be the first to spot a trackable code and activate it on your account. Other cachers may discover it.
Show us how you burn
Available until April 30th, voting on May 13th

Surely you know how interesting people look when eating spicy foods. Some break a sweat on their foreheads, others turn completely red or their eyes bulge. If you see something like that, get your camera and take a picture of the sufferer.

Five disciplines inspired by the Red Dwarf, not just fun for you, but for the audience as well. Good sense of humour is a must.
What kind of fruit is it?
Saturday 11am and 1pm (11:00 and 13:00), pre-registration, results announced at 3pm (15:00)

Do you like recognising types of fruit? If you answered yes, this is the perfect competition for you. You’ll have to try and recognise fruit-flavoured ice-cream. Up to 14 flavours.
Online quizzes
Friday Night Quiz; Saturday quizzes (10am, 12pm, 2pm and 5pm), no pre-registration, overall score announced at 6pm (18:00)

Quizzes will be on the Red Dwarf and Geocaching. The Friday Night Quiz will include a special part – recognising Czech geocaching celebrities disguised as Vindaloovians. It’s easy, just bring a mobile phone or tablet with internet access and you’re good to go. The top 3 places in each quiz will receive points for the overall ranking.
At 12 o’clock there will be quizzes in English.
Vindalburger a.k.a. beat the vindaloo beast
Saturday at 4pm (16:00), pre-registration required

Do you like spicy food and do you think you can gobble anything and any amount? In that case, this is the perfect contest for you! You’ll get a huge burger and side-dish, and all you have to do is eat it! The fastest eater, or the last person standing, will win.
Bingo!
Saturday 9am till 6pm (9:00-18:00), no pre-registration, results announcement at 6pm (18:00)

Complete dozens of different types of tasks in order to fill a full line or row. It won’t be easy, but the prizes are definitely worth it.
Sunday contests
Journey to Fuchal – Vindaloo edition
Sunday 10am till 2pm (10:00-14:00), pre-registration or on-site registration, results announced at 4pm(16:00)

Contest for both teams and individuals, with plenty of tasks inspired by the Red Dwarf series. And to spice things up, plenty of spicy food to be had!

Would you believe? Even rubbish picking can be turned into a contest! If you’d like to give it a go, come to our Sunday CITO.
Workshops
Make your own geocache
Saturday 9am till 6pm (9:00-18:00), no pre-registration

Our workshop will allow you to create a camo container that will blend into the environment, adding a few difficulty stars to it.
Create a clay geocoin
Saturday 9am till 6pm (9:00-18:00), no pre-registration

If you’ve never tried to make a geocoin out of ceramic clay, you can give it a try here. And since it’s a geocoin, it will of course be trackable.
Mega Event pin badges
Saturday 9am till 8pm (9:00-20:00), no pre-registration

Would you like a themed souvenir? Then don’t forget to create your very own badge, with your username and Mega Event theme.

Several new caches will be published during the Mega Event and will remain active afterwards.
Adventures
Friday through to Sunday

There’s no Mega Event without a bunch of dedicated Adventures, and ours won’t be any different. We’re planning several sets, each stage being totally unique, from simple ones to difficult ones that’ll be played through a Wherigo game.

Photo corner
Saturday 9am till 6pm (9:00-18:00), no pre-registration

We’re setting-up a photo corner, manned by our own photographer, so you can take home a nice picture with props. All photos will be available for download on this website.
CWG swap
Saturday 1pm till 5pm (13:00 and 17:00)

No self-respecting event could miss CWG swapping, and this one’s no different. Dedicated facilities will be available for CWG aficionados wanting to exchange as many woodcoins as they can carry.
Chilli peppers swap
Saturday 9am till 6pm (9:00-18:00), no pre-registration

If you’re a keen chilli pepper grower, don’t miss out on the opportunity to grow your collection of plants and chilli products. Don’t forget to bring your own specimens as currency.
Indian buffet
Saturday 11am till 7pm, pre-purchase required, limited availability on-site.

Should you want to dine in style on Saturday, an Indianmenu will be ready to meet your needs. Make sure to reserve well in advance.
Signal the Frog
Friday through to Sunday

Signal the Frog, Geocaching’s official mascot, will be present throughout the Mega Event.
